“My heart is heavy with the news of Public Defender Jeff Adachi’s passing. I knew Jeff to be a tireless advocate and fighter for San Francisco’s marginalized communities. He was a person who refused to fit into any mold. He was the City’s Public Defender, a filmmaker, an entrepreneur, a father and husband. San Francisco has lost an irreplaceable public servant.”
